Medieval Settlement of Kirtipur is part of the Tentative list of Nepal in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. It is a proposed extension of Kathmandu Valley WHS.

Kirtipur is a medieval Newari settlement in the Kathmandu Valley. Its historic center is well-preserved. Among its monuments is the three-storeyed temple Bagh Bhairab temple, one of the most popular temples dedicated to the destroyer-guardian god Bhairab.

Kitipur is a wonderful medieval town. It's still has the traditional charm as well as the old temples and stone monuments. The designs and architecture of the past are fast disappearing as new and modern building appeared to replace those old buildings. It is interesting and should be conserved for future generations.
